Dallece is a Sophomore at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, majoring in Clinical Neuroscience and a minor in Leadership and Social Change. During the Fall of 2015 she became involved in research at the Virginia Tech Carillon Research Institute in Dr. Bickel's Addiction and Recovery Research Center where she assisted in data compilation and management. She spent the past summer at the University of Notre Dame in Dr. McDowell's lab investigating novel insecticides through the manipulation of mosquito GPCRs. Dallece began working in Dr. Robel's lab in January 2017, with her research focus being the investigation of the role of astrocytes in response to traumatic brain injury. She plans to attend graduate school to study Neurobiology.
